Southridge Skyhawk Youth Lacrosse is a non-profit organization dedicated to serve the south Beaverton community and the families living within the Southridge High School boundary. We provide organized and effective lacrosse camps and recreational teams.
Southridge Skyhawks Youth Lacrosse will be organizing competitive select teams for the spring season when possible. This program is designed for the skilled lacrosse player who is interested in taking their game to the next level competitively.
Highlights for the Select Team:
Typically one team will be formed in the Boys 5/6 and Boys 7/8 division. Fielding teams is contingent upon having a sufficient number of players tryout. All players are encouraged to try out.
Team placement is subject to tryouts and players must be able to commit to attending all practices, tournaments, and games.
Coaches will be in charge of the player selection process and criteria
Practices are typically held on Friday evenings starting in April
Games will be held on Saturday late afternoons, or evenings
Games competition will be against competitive select teams from local clubs throughout the area
At a MINIMUM there will be two tournaments in May and one in June. Some tournaments will include games on Sunday
Any travel or hotel expenses required for attending a tournament are not included in the select team fees. SSYL will coordinate a group rate and team hotel to minimize expenses
Player Fees are approximate. Fees cover tournament fees, coaching staff, and field time
Players will be selected through recreational team practice observation and a select tryout session
Tryout time and location will be posted ahead of time
